- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev arrived in New Delhi to start his two-day visit to India. Indian and Russian counterpart signed nearly 30 agreements in the public and private sectors.
- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived in New Delhi to improve the Indo-China relations. The issues of permanent seat to India at UN and stapled visas to Kashmiris are likely to be discussed during the tour.

- India and France sign agreements on various subjects like Film Production, Intellectual Property Rights, Nuclear Energy and Earth System Science and Climate at New Delhi. French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh were present at signing off the documents.
- Indian Ambassador to the United States Meera Shankar subjected to pat down at Jackson-Evers International Airport in Mississippi and was singled out because she was in sari.
