- 3rd National seminar on AIDS was started at Hyderabad October 29, 2010. National Aids control board conducted this seminar.
- NASA plans to send astronauts to Mars - said Mr. Pete Worden, Director of NASA at a Conference in San Francisco.
- ‘India–Chem 2010’ International Exhibition and Conference was held in Mumbai. Central Chemical and Fertilizers Minister M.K.Alagiri naugurated the conference.
- Bullet train CRH380 was launched in China and recorded as world’s fastest travelling at 420 Km per hour. The rail links between Shanghai and Hangzhou in china.
- Over a year after it first embarked on its Swine flu vaccine development program, city-based Biotechnology Major Bharat Biotech has unveiled HNVAC, which it claims is the country’s and developing world’s indigenously developing cell culture H1N1 vaccine.
- The Directorate of Rice Research (DRR) has organized the First DRR Industry Meet -2010 on Display of DRR technologies and Services at its Premises in Rajendranagar. Representatives from more than 30 Private Companies have participated in the meet.
- The Chinese moon probe, called Chang'e 2 was launched from the Xichang Space Center in southwestern China's Sichuan province. Chang'e 2 is the second step in China's three-phase Chang'e moon exploration program, which is named after China's mythical moon goddess.
