- Grand Master Suresh Kumar Ganguly has won Asian Chess Championship defeating Chinese grand master Jo Jian Chavo.
- Jenson Button has won formula one Monaco Grand Prix title defeating Rubens.
- Deccan Chargers has won the IPL-2 trophy. The highest scorer of the tourney was Mathew Hayden , the highest wicket taker was RP Singh. Adam Gilchrist hit highest sixes (60).
- Singapore’s Gao Ning has defeated Achanti Sharath in the Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship held at Scotland.
- Sayali Gokhale won the Women’s single title in the Spanish Open Badminton Championship at Madrid.
